The School has access to charitable funds providing fee remissions for foundation bursaries for the children of practising Anglican clergy of limited means (Foundationers) and bursaries for families who may be unable to afford full fees.

Bursary assessments are independent of the academic process and all potential recipients of financial assistance must meet the School’s entry criteria.

Bursaries are means-tested and full disclosure of financial circumstances is required. The School uses an independent company, Bursary Administration Limited (BAL), to assess and review applications. Initial assessments include a home visit and awards are subject to annual review thereafter.

Bursary application forms are available from the Admissions Office.  Awards will be officially confirmed if and when a child is offered a place at the School. For those entering Year 9 (Fourth Form) this will be indicative, as a further review will take place in the spring in the year of entry.

Awards are expressed as a percentage reduction of tuition fees only (except in cases where it may be deemed in the best interests of the child to weekly board) and may be supplemented by a scholarship.
