40 hours per week, 39 weeks per year working on a rotational shift pattern predominately Monday – Friday, 6.00am – 2.30pm, with one week’s late shift (10.30 – 7.00pm) and one Saturday in every half term.

Salary range £12.48 – £13.90 per hour plus overtime with 13 weeks off per annum

St John’s is seeking a hard working and imaginative Chef de Partie who is passionate about creating high quality food for both the School and external customers. The Chef de Partie will be required to assist with the day-to-day running of the School’s busy kitchen. Responsibilities will include preparing, cooking and presenting specialty and high quality dishes to the standards required by the Head Chef. The Chef de Partie will assist with the development of new dishes and menus in accordance with the School’s requirements.

The successful candidate will possess good communication and customer service skills, the ability to work quickly and under pressure and have experience of working in a high volume food production role. A high level of awareness about food hygiene and Health & Safety is fundamental, and a relevant qualification is desirable.

The willingness to work flexible hours when necessary is essential.  Shift patterns are agreed in advance half termly.
