Making New Friends
Our new Lower Third had a fantastic residential trip to Land and Wave in Dorset at the beginning of term.
They threw themselves into an array of challenges during their stay which included sea kayaking and raft building. They took part in a ‘mini Olympics’, learnt bushcraft skills, built dens and campfires and enjoyed a fun day at the beach. It was a brilliant way to get to know each other, spend time with their tutors and forge new friendships. We asked them for their favourite moments from the trip and these are just a few of the highlights:
“The raft building session was hilarious and I liked making friends.” Dylan
“I enjoyed the kayaking the best! It was so fun to go into deep water with a kayak.” Sophia
“I enjoyed the campfire and eating marshmallows.” Katie
“I liked kayaking and making fires with batteries and flint and steel.” Callum
“The thing that I enjoyed most about the Land and Wave trip was our team building day at the beach.” Lucy
