Thursday 18 October saw the first Enrichment Day of this academic year take place at St John’s.
Enrichment Days are a valuable addition to the School calendar as they create opportunities for pupils to develop a range of skills, explore subjects from a different perspective and take part in team building activities.
The St John’s CCF cadets set off to a variety of locations and participated in field day activities which included learning about catering in the field and laser target shooting. Other trips included the Lower Third visiting Leatherhead town centre to investigate traffic levels and monitor local building usage and Upper Sixth biology pupils going on a residential trip which included investigating moorland ecology. Other age groups spent the day at venues such as London Zoo, Nettlecombe Court, the Olympic Park and HMS Excellent.
