Fun With Friends

During the first week of the academic year, 103 new Lower Third pupils set off for an adventure-filled two night stay at PGL Osmington Bay.

As the 103 pupils boarded the coach at St John’s, (some with suitcases bigger than them!) the excitement of the adventures ahead was evident. The Lower Third induction trip is a wonderful way to encourage pupils to meet new friends, learn new names and come together as a cohort with team building activities.

Pupils and staff enjoyed a fantastic few days filled with zip lines, abseiling, survivor skills, beach exploring, tunnelling, buggy making and raft building down by the harbour. The evenings saw team bonding games including capture the flag.

Head of Lower School, Richard Harvey said: “It has been so pleasing to see how well they have got on and their politeness has been commented upon by several members of the public. Hopefully they have made strong friendships and are now more familiar with their peers and their tutors.”
