Welcome from The Head
People are what makes this school special. From the inquisitive, happy children who grow into confident, articulate young adults during their time here, to our talented, dedicated staff who teach, care for, and guide our pupils, we know that – together – we achieve more. We’re not afraid to be ambitious or to have high standards; these traits are fundamental to our desire to spark a lifelong love of learning and to equip our pupils with the knowledge and skills they need to realise their dreams.

Kindness
Kindness and respect for others lies at the heart of our community. We believe that kindness is more than a gentle emotion, it has the power to be transformative. Our Five Principles of Kindness underpin how we think, interact and behave on a daily basis.

A Rich History
Founded in 1851, the original purpose of St John's was to provide a free education to the sons of poor clergy. In the decades since those early days, much has changed as our school has evolved and innovated to equip generations of pupils with the skills they need for the times in which they live. But we hold dear the values, traditions and sense of continuity that this rich history gives to our community.
