Graduate AssistantsSeptember 2012 – JULY 2013 St John’s is looking to employ two Graduate Assistants from September 2012. This is an opportunity for a graduate student to work in a busy school environment. The role would be particularly suited to a graduate who may be considering teaching as a career. Within the role there will be an opportunity to observe lessons and gain classroom experience. An ability to coach a variety of girls’ and boys’ sports, including hockey, netball, tennis, rugby, football and cricket is essential. Ideally candidates will have coaching or playing experience in several of these sports, but those who excel in one area will still be considered. They will also be required to oversee the Boarders’ Evening Activities Programme as well as support with a variety of other daily, evening and weekend duties. Enthusiasm, flexibility, a positive approach to all games, the ability to work as part of a team, and a willingness to participate fully in a busy and thriving School are essential, as is a sense of humour! Gap StudentsJanuary 2013 – December 2013 St John’s recruits three Gap Students every year and they will be required to carry out a range of tasks.
