After 4 days of pre-season training the 1st team girls competed in a pre-season tournament at Christ’s Hospital

The results were as follows:

Vs Brighton College – Lost 2-0
Vs Epsom College – Lost 3-0
Vs Christ’s Hospital – Won 2-1
Vs Tormead – Lost 2-0

This was an ideal opportunity for the new L6th girls to get to know the other players.The girls played particularly well against Christ’s Hospital with Anna Ward scoring a straight strike off a short corner and Zoe Harrington also scoring from close range.

There were some promising passages of play – player of the tournament was Kate Scott who showed excellent stick skills and attacking play. Olivia Gunningham also deserves a mention for playing goalkeeper for the first time.
