More
Sixth Form girls are applying to St John's than ever before
thanks to the opening of another Sixth Form Girls' House.
Fairfield comprises en suite accommodation for 20 boarding
girls, facilities for approximately 15 day girls, a housemistress's
house and assistant's flat. The combination of the Fairfield
and Hallaton buildings is now known as South House.

This impressive building houses the St John's Music School,
an auditorium and the Sixth Form Social Centre. The School's

2001
An
astroturf was also opened by our patron, HRH The Duchess
of Gloucester, in 2001. The facility is used for hockey,
tennis and as an alternative surface during wetter weather.
The royal opening signalled the start of the first match
between the St John's Girls' XI and an Old Girls' XI.
